The George Washington University 
The George Washington University is a pioneer in the field of ultrasound education. The 1995 GW graduates were the first in the Washington/Baltimore area to earn baccalaureate degrees in sonography. The program is accredited by teh Commission for the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). The program at GW places heavy emphasis on both practical and didactic education with certificate and BS in general (abdomen & obstetrics/gynecology), vascular, and cardiac sonography. Nontraditional weekend lectures and weekday clinical rotations make GW's sonography program uniquely attractive to those individuals interested in pursuing a career in sonography.
